The Rangers have placed Joc Pederson on the IL, retroactive to Saturday, but are hopeful he will be available if they make the playoffs.
Pederson also missed time in 2025 due to a broken hand after being hit by a pitch.

Tim Cowlishaw thinks the Rangers have an advantage over Houston in these final games by having earlier start times than Houston.
Of course, that also depends on the Rangers winning games, and last night that didn’t happen in part because of weak defense.
