SAN FRANCISCO ― Basketball season is just a month a way and the Golden State Warriors are starting the season banged up.
The team announced Monday, Sept. 28, that Jimmy Butler III and Moses Moody are both still out and won’t be available for the season-opener as they rehab from their knee injuries they suffered last season.
Butler and Moody have performed some light work on the court but still they’re not close to a return. Warriors center Kristaps Porzingis was ruled out indefinitely with an specified health issue that was recently discovered. There has not been a timeline established for his return. He will miss the start of camp, Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy said.

“We’re a little banged up to start, but you know we’ve got plenty of depth. We’ll get through it. We feel good about the group we have: a nice mix of young guys, some old guys but everybody can play.” Dunleavy told reporters Monday. “I know we’re looking forward to taking on the challenge.”
Porzingis won’t travel to Hawaii for their training camp, however Butler and Moody will.
“I want to give you as much information as I can,” Dunleavy said. “It’s a health thing that we can’t really comment on.”
