Stephen McKenna Blasts Out Casey James Streeter In Opening Round At Zuffa Boxing 7

Stephen McKenna wasted little time making a statement on Saturday, stopping Casey James Streeter in just over a minute of the opening round at Zuffa Boxing 7.

The middleweight contender came out aggressively from the opening bell and immediately put Streeter on the defensive. The fight was short-lived as McKenna landed several clean shots and forced the action from the outset. A barrage of unanswered punches prompted referee Amy Pu to stop the contest at 1:04 of the opening round.

The victory improved McKenna’s record to 16-1 with 15 knockouts, further reinforcing his reputation as one of the heavier punchers in the division.

For Streeter, the loss dropped him to 15-4. The American had previously shown durability against several opponents but was unable to withstand McKenna’s early assault.

The fight marked McKenna’s return to action after an extended period of inactivity, and the Irish fighter showed no signs of ring rust. He immediately took control of the bout and never allowed Streeter an opportunity to establish any offense.

McKenna had promised an aggressive performance before the fight, and he delivered exactly that. The quick stoppage was one of the fastest finishes on the Zuffa Boxing 7 card and provided another highlight-reel knockout for his growing résumé.

With the win, McKenna continues to build momentum as he looks toward bigger opportunities in the middleweight division.
