Asked about Joshua, Miller said he would take the fight but suggested the former champion may want an easier return before facing someone dangerous.

“Of course, I’d love to fight AJ, but at the same time he’s probably got some ring rust,” Miller said to Fight Hub TV. “You got to give him a little time, probably get one easy fight to come back.”

That line will not go unnoticed, given Miller’s history with Joshua. The two were scheduled to meet in 2019 before the fight collapsed, costing Miller the biggest payday of his career.

He also aimed higher by mentioning unified heavyweight champion Usyk.

“He’s a great fighter, man. But when you find a bully like me, ain’t no way to run and hide,” Miller said. “I want Usyk to come back, and I can spank him as well.”

Whether either fight happens soon is unclear, but Miller understands that staying active in the heavyweight market means keeping his name attached to major opponents.

He also used the interview to praise Bozy Ennis, who recently joined his team.

“My last two fights, I was messed up,” Miller said. “Working with Bozy, working on parrying shots and trying to slip shots. In the beginning, it wasn’t there, but six or seven rounds in, it started coming.”

Miller added that he wants another bout within the next two or three months and hopes to come in lighter next time.

Heavyweights often talk after fights. Miller’s comments carried more purpose because he needed the next move almost as much as he wanted this one.
