Jason Benetti, the voice of NBC’s Sunday Night Baseball, will be expanding his netowrk duties this fall to include pro basketball.
NBC Sports announced on Thursday, Aug. 13, that Benetti has joined its NBA play-by-play team for the 2026-27 season.
According to a report by Front Office Sports, Benetti will handle between 10 and 20 regular-season and playoff games for NBC and Peacock. He will not replace any current NBC announcers.
Currently, Mike Tirico, Noah Eagle, Terry Gannon and Michael Grady handle play-by-play duties for NBC-produced games.

Benetti, 42, has previously filled in on local Chicago Bulls and Portland Trail Blazers broadcasts, and he called an NBA playoff game last year between the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics on Peacock.
NBC regained broadcast rights to the NBA last season and will televise the 2026-27 season-opening tripleheader on Tuesday, Oct. 20.
