Miller looks to be in better shape for this match than his previous bout against Kingsley Ibeh, where he weighed 317.6 pounds. Although he is still the bigger man, he looks much better at the slimmer weight of 305 pounds.
His trainer, Derrick “Bozy” Ennis, believes there isn’t a thing Jarrell can’t do; he can jab, box, and throw heavy punches as well. He expects his fighter to have a strong showing tonight. He advised Pero and his team not to go straight at Miller, as it could be costly for them, and they could end up getting caught with a hard shot that would send Lenier to the canvas.
Pero weighed in 251.4 pounds at yesterday’s weigh-in, a 53.6-pound difference. Lenier’s trainer, Bob Santos, was asked about the weight difference. He said, “It depends on how you look at it.
Who’s the best heavyweight considered in the world, right now? Usyk, what does he weigh? 222, he’s been in there with Fury. How much did Fury weigh? He’s been in there with Joshua. At the end of the day, skills pay the bills.” Santos added Pero can fight at all three levels – inside, outside, and at a distance.

Pero and his team don’t think the weight will be an issue and have prepared for it. Lenier stated he can manage the weight difference; he’s done so in the past. “We are heavyweights; one punch can end it all. I feel strong, and I can. You don’t only knock out through the head, but can also do so to the body. We will work all areas,” said Pero of his game plan for tonight. Eddie Hearn said the winner of the match may potentially fight in a big fight later this year, and a championship fight may be likely.
When asked if he looks forward to a title fight, Lenier said, “It’s the dream of all fighters to be champion.”
Both fighters know the road to the championship begins tonight, and they will do their absolute best to be the one who has their hand raised at the end of the night.
