By the second round, the finish was already beginning to develop.

Sheeraz started landing with more confidence and used his jab and straight shots to create openings for combinations. The ending came after Sheeraz landed a left uppercut upstairs before driving a left hook into Begic’s body, sending him to the canvas in pain.

Begic tried to recover but was unable to beat the count, bringing the fight to an end in the second round.

The performance was one of the most emphatic victories of Sheeraz’s career and continued his rise as one of the leading young names at super middleweight. Known for his size, composure, and finishing ability, Sheeraz showed all of those traits again in a fight that placed him on the world-title stage for the first time.

The victory also moved him into the middle of several potential high-profile options at 168 pounds.

With the division featuring names such as Canelo Alvarez, Christian Mbilli, and other titleholders, Sheeraz’s dominant finish immediately strengthened his standing in a crowded title picture. Saturday’s performance also reinforced how dangerous he can be once opponents are forced into exchanges at close range.

For Begic, the defeat marked the first loss of his professional career.

The Bosnian contender entered the fight with a strong knockout record of his own, but he struggled to deal with Sheeraz’s reach, precision, and body punching once the pace intensified. The ending came suddenly, but the control Sheeraz established early made the result feel increasingly inevitable before the stoppage arrived.
