Fabio Wardley says Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are the two names at the top of his target list as the heavyweight title picture continues to shift around Turki Alalshikh’s plans for late 2026.

“Him or Usyk,” Wardley told The Sun Sport. “One or the other, I am not fussed.”

“Frank [Warren], tell me who it is, just call one and let me know. I have got no bother, I will say yes.”

Wardley faces Daniel Dubois this weekend with the WBO heavyweight title on the line. A win would immediately place him into discussions involving Usyk, Fury, and Agit Kabayel as Saudi-backed plans continue developing around the division.

Usyk recently mentioned interest in facing the Wardley-Dubois winner, but reports in recent days have pointed toward Turki Alalshikh favoring Kabayel as Usyk’s next opponent following the Rico Verhoeven fight later this month.

That possibility could leave Fury as the leading available name for Wardley if Fury still intends to take a fight before his planned end-of-year clash against Anthony Joshua.

“I want to compete with the best,” Wardley said. “I don’t know how much more I can evidence it in fights or however I manage myself.”

“At each level, for however long in my career, it was like this is his ceiling. So I am like, let me really go and find out what my ceiling is.”

A Fury-Wardley fight would carry major risk for the planned Joshua showdown because of Wardley’s size, power, and activity level. Fury has not fought since facing Jake Paul, while Wardley enters the weekend holding a world title and pushing for the biggest names in the division.
