“We have started negotiations with Queensbury about another 5v5, and it’s a mouthwatering. Actually, not 5v5, it’s 7v7,” said Hearn to iFL TV.

The first event in June 2024 ended in a complete victory for Frank Warren’s team. Queensberry won all five bouts, including victories for Nick Ball, Hamzah Sheeraz, Daniel Dubois, Zhilei Zhang, and Willy Hutchinson.

Hearn believes a rematch could be even bigger, particularly if it takes place in Britain.

“These discussions started two or three days ago,” Hearn said. “But to be fair, I’m like, listen, we got spanked 5-nil, right? Run it back. Give us another chance.

“And now I think everybody’s ready. And this one will be even bigger than the first one. This will have a much more domestic slant on it as well for the UK, and it’ll be in London, obviously. It’ll be in the UK.”

Several potential fights have already been discussed.

Hearn identified a rematch between Callum Smith and Joshua Buatsi as one possibility if Dmitry Bivol decides against facing Smith. He also mentioned Giorgio Visioli against British lightweight champion Louie O’Doherty, George Liddard against Denzel Bentley, and a heavyweight clash between Johnny Fisher and Dillian Whyte.

The Smith-Buatsi rematch would likely be the highest-profile bout under consideration. Smith defeated Buatsi in a Fight of the Year contender in January 2025 and is currently the WBO mandatory challenger for Bivol’s light heavyweight title.

No date has been finalized, but Hearn indicated the event is being discussed for later this year as Matchroom attempts to avenge its one-sided defeat in the original series.

The first 5v5 gave Queensberry bragging rights. Hearn now wants another chance to change the score.
