The promotion announced the matchup on Wednesday:
“The big boys are taking over London! Johnny Fisher vs. Michael Pirotton. Zuffa Boxing 11. Copper Box Arena.”
Pirotton brings enough physical size to make the fight look respectable. The Belgian stands 6-foot-5, owns an 82-inch reach and has never been stopped. His weak opposition reveals why matchmakers selected him.
BoxRec ranks Fisher No. 83 among active heavyweights, with Pirotton at No. 145. That difference is not enormous, but Fisher has completed ten rounds and possesses far more proven punching power.
Pirotton has never fought beyond eight rounds. Piotr Lacz defeated him across six in April 2025, winning every round on all three scorecards. Juan Alberts handed him another decision loss later that year.
Two stoppage victories have since repaired Pirotton’s record. Jiovani Sheik entered their August fight with one win and ten defeats, while Fernando Brito had already lost 60 times. Beating those opponents did little to prepare Pirotton for a headline slot in London.
Fisher’s defensive weaknesses give Pirotton at least some chance of making the fight competitive. David Allen dropped him during their first meeting before losing a disputed split decision. Allen put him down twice in the rematch, forcing Fisher’s corner to stop the contest after five rounds.
A comeback win over Ivan Balaz helped Fisher recover, but Zuffa clearly has no intention of rushing him. Pirotton is durable, unfamiliar to the British audience and unlikely to apply the same physical pressure Allen brought.
The matchmaking gives Fisher every opportunity to produce the knockout Zuffa wants while keeping the danger under control.
