The Yankees brought DeJong to spring training on a minor league deal with an opt out in May, and he’s decided to exercise that clause and see if he can catch on with another team.

On Friday, he hit a mark that ties him in the history books with another old friend. Yesterday as his Yomiuri Giants beat the Hanshin Tigers, Tanaka picked up his 203rd career win across NPB and MLB. That tied him with fellow former Yankee Hiroki Kuroda for combined wins, with the duo only trailing Yu Darvish in that record book.
