Soon, Travis Hunter will be showcasing the talents that made him a college football star in the NFL.

The wide receiver and cornerback, who has insisted on playing both positions in the NFL, earned the 2024 Heisman Trophy after dominating for Colorado last fall. 

But even beyond the 2025 NFL Draft, Hunter has another significant event approaching to look forward to: His wedding.

Who is Travis Hunter’s girlfriend?

Hunter’s girlfriend and fiancee is Leanna Lenee. 

The couple started dating in 2022, as Hunter said he reached out to her on social media, which led to them eventually being together. They’ve been engaged since February 2024.

Lenee graduated from Kenesaw State University, has made YouTube videos with Hunter in the past, and is often seen supporting him during his football career.

2022

Hunter and Lenee began dating in February 2022. In an October 2022 YouTube video on their channel, “Travis and Leanna,” Hunter said he “shot his shot on Instagram,” and Lenee first ignored it for two months, then initially wanted to be friends.

After Hunter went with Lenee to a friend’s birthday dinner, they began dating, and have posted their anniversary as Feb. 26.

November 2023

Hunter surprised Lenee for her 22nd birthday by buying her a new Tesla, which he later posted to their YouTube channel.

February 2024

Hunter and Lenee got engaged in February 2024. Since then, they have posted wedding-related videos on their YouTube channel, including Lenee shopping for wedding dresses.

May 2024

Not too long after Hunter surprised Lenee with a car, she did the same, surprising Hunter with a truck for his 21st birthday.

December 2024

When Hunter received his Heisman Trophy in December 2024, Lenee was the subject of criticism from fans after Deion Sanders appeared to tell her to stand up to applaud Hunter when he was announced as the winner. It continued after Lenee was in a video growing impatient with Hunter while he was taking pictures with fans.

Hunter temporarily deactivated his Instagram account at the time, while Lenee has deactivated her social media accounts. According to People, Hunter said around the time that Lenee was “hurt” by all the backlash.

“I know what I got. I know my girl. My girl’s been with me for five years,” Hunter said. “Y’all are just now starting to talk about me and just now starting to be with me. Come on, man.”

Lenee also defended herself, saying she was just trying to find out what she was supposed to do as Hunter worked with adidas employees for social media.

“I wasn’t annoyed with no fans, at all. I’m never annoyed with fans,” Lenee said, per People. “So, that’s what that was.”

As for the ceremony situation with Sanders, Lenee said she was trying to make sure she was out of the camera’s shot in a big moment for Hunter.

“As soon as I seen Travis get up, then I thought it was appropriate to stand up, greet him, congratulate him,” she said, per E! News. “But then, there was a camera right in front of Coach Prime and I knew they were going to film that moment and because of how people are online, I was like, ‘I don’t want to be in that shot,’ so I sat down.”

Since the December situation with Lenee, Hunter said on his personal YouTube channel, “The Travis Hunter Show,” that he doesn’t take as many pictures and hired a security guard, per the Daily Mail.

May 2025

As of November, Hunter and Lenee were planning their wedding for May 24, 2025, Hunter said on Shedeur Sanders’ podcast.

“May 24th, next year, bro,” Hunter said to Sanders, per The Athlete Lifestyle on SI. “Right around the rookie minicamp, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. “It’s a good venue, bro. [Leanna] wanted to have a good venue for everybody.”
