The Ryder Cup is one of the standout sporting events, with the biennial contest between Europe and the USA producing many iconic moments over the years.
One of those we witnessed less than one year ago when Shane Lowry’s historic putt at the Bethpage Black Course in New York retained the Ryder Cup for Europe to seal the team’s first win away from home in thirteen years.
The USA – without an overseas Ryder Cup victory since 1993 – will aim to replicate that away success and cause an upset among all betting sites, as Europe hosts the 100th anniversary of the prestigious golf tournament in 2027.
Where will the 2027 Ryder Cup take place?
The Golf Course at Adare Manor in County Limerick, Ireland, will host the Ryder Cup in 2027.
It’ll be only the second time the Ryder Cup has been held in Ireland and the first since 2006, when 40,000+ fans packed into The K Club in County Kildare to witness Europe claim a third Ryder Cup in a row following a comprehensive 18½ – 9½ victory.
The Irish Open (2007 & 2008) and the JP McManus Pro-Am (2010 & 2022) have also been held at Adare Manor in recent times.
When is the 2027 Ryder Cup?
Europe’s defence of its Ryder Cup will begin on Friday, 17th September 2027 and conclude on 19th September 2027.
The event also includes four warm-up days, from Monday 13th September 2027 to Thursday 16th September 2027.
Where are the next Ryder Cups?
The locations for the next four Ryder Cups after 2027 are already known.
The 2029 edition will be held at the Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota, the venue of the USA’s 17-11 victory in 2016. The tournament’s return to Minnesota will make it the first American course to host a second Ryder Cup.
Barcelona, and more specifically, The Camiral Golf Resort in Costa Brava, will host the Ryder Cup in 2031, marking the tournament’s first return to Spain since 1997.
The 2033 Ryder Cup will, for the first time, be played at The Olympic Club in San Francisco. The Lake Course will also host the PGA Championship in 2028.
The venue for 2035 has not yet been confirmed, but the likelihood that it will return to England is high. You have to go back to 2002 for the last time the Ryder Cup was played in England, when The Belfry in Warwickshire hosted for the fourth time (still the most of any venue).
And in 2037, Europe and the US will do battle on the Blue Course at the Congressional Country Club in Maryland, marking the first time the club has hosted the event.
