Man, that 10-run game from the offense on Wednesday was fun, wasn’t it? Alas, it was a complete anomaly. They’ve gone right back to snoozing their way through a pennant race with one solo homer and nothing else in their last 18 innings. Pathetic. Yes, the defense was embarrassing in its own right on that one play to help Toronto overcome the not-so-staggering 1-0 deficit.
But it shouldn’t come to that. If I was Aaron Judge, I would be furious that this team is so punchless without him. It’d be understandable to play worse but playing like a Deadball Era offense? Come on. I know they’re also missing Cody Bellinger...
