The most revealing NSFW outfits from the 2025 Met Gala red carpet

Some of the biggest names in Hollywood graced the 2025 Met Gala red carpet in style. From bedazzled suits to gowns with massive trains, there really wasn’t a shortage of high fashion. However, fans of the event might say there was a shortage of clothing for some stars. 

On Monday May 5, viewers of the annual fundraiser tuned in to see which of their favorite celebrities got invited to the highly exclusive event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

Certain A-list athletes had already confirmed their attendance prior to the event, including LeBron James, Lewis Hamilton and Simone Biles — but there were a few surprise arrivals and absence. 

This years’ gala paid homage to the exhibition “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” from the New York museum. The theme centered around “Tailored for You,” which is a reference to not only menswear, but celebrated the history of Black fashion. 

Some stars of the night honored the dress code by wearing different variations of a suit. Interpretations of the theme ranged from former NBA star Dwyane Wade in a white silk cropped jacket to actor Damson Idris in a racing-inspired suit

Georgina Rodríguez

Cristiano Ronaldo’s girlfriend made her Met Gala debut wearing a black silky lace slip dress. 

Savannah James 

The 38-year-old rocked the red carpet solo after her husband had earlier announced he would be missing the event due to an injury. The mother-of-three turned heads in a mesh corseted ball gown that emphasized her waist.

Simone Biles

The Olympic gold medalist arrived at the Met Gala in a blue minidress paired with super high heels. Biles attended the event alongside her husband, Jonathan Owens — where he complimented her outfit by wearing blue accessories. 
 

Shakira 

The songstress is looking pretty in pink as she poses for photos alongside other celebrities. Shakira’s dress features a long ruffled train with mesh cutouts around her bodice. 

Serena Williams 

Serena Williams did not come to play this year! The tennis champion arrived in a silky gown with a see-through cut out around her thighs. 

Venus Williams

As for her part, Williams channeled major tennis vibes wearing a high-low pleated skirt. She paired her all green outfit with an embellished coat.
