Charles Leclerc has been one of Formula 1’s fastest drivers for some time now. He seems to be committed to staying at Ferrari, but should he? Stuart Codling takes a look at the Monegasque’s situation at the famous Italian team in this month’s cover feature.

We’re not saying Leclerc must leave, but he should at least consider other options because he is far too good to have only eight grand prix wins and to not have yet truly fought for the championship. Can Ferrari give him what he needs in 2026?

Deciding when to stop developing a current car and when to focus on next year’s machine is a challenge for all teams, no more so than with the new ruleset arriving. Cadillac doesn’t have that particular concern – it has much bigger challenges ahead of arriving on the F1 grid for the 2026 Australian GP in March. Fil Cleeren delves behind the scenes of F1’s first new team in a decade and finds out how it is finding inspiration in NASA’s lunar programme.

We also debate which F1 drivers we’d like to see compete elsewhere, off the back of Max Verstappen’s GT3 outings, and recall the first great rivalry in grand prix racing.

Outside of F1, Zak O’Sullivan has already made some tricky decisions, but his move to Japan is paying dividends, as he tells Jamie Klein, while Gary Watkins looks at how likely it is that sportscar racing can make its next big step: amalgamating LMH and LMDh to become one, international ruleset.

It’s been a busy time on the UK scene over the past month, with many champions crowned. After a superb season, Tom Ingram claimed his second British Touring Car title and he talks to Marcus Simmons. There’s also plenty of news and a special report on the Goodwood Revival.

Congratulations to all the champions, as well as to McLaren for clinching its 10th F1 constructors’ crown. We’ll be marking that particular milestone with a McLaren special as part of our next issue, out on 13 November.
