Shane earned the technical knockout victory by landing 46 percent of his total power punches, demonstrating his accuracy while withstanding Serhii’s relentless attack (Compubox). He hurt the Ukrainian in a way few have.

Bohachuk had questioned Mosley’s hunger for fighting, after the fight Shane stated he proved his toughness and demonstrated his true hunger with a statement victory. He then called out Zuffa star Callum Walsh to a fight.

He and Ivan Ortiz were awarded performances of the night, earning bonuses for their spectacular victories. Both fighters were underdogs in their respective matches and came out victorious.

Andreas Katzourakis defeated Misael Rodriguez on the same card and stated he wanted to fight the winner of Mosley-Bohachuk. When Shane was asked at the post-fight press conference if he’d be willing to fight Andreas, he stated he doesn’t fear anyone and would fight anyone.

Dana White pointed out that the structure of Zuffa is to build fighters, and as they develop, storylines are being created that will mesh with other fighters. So, when one fighter calls out another, the public will know the fighters, and there will be a built-in storyline. Mosley appears to have his eyes set on a fight with Walsh.

At 35 years of age, this was Shane’s first time headlining an event, and he was appreciative of the opportunity. He knew this was his opportunity and delivered. This was the best performance of his career against an opponent oddsmakers saw him losing. He showed a side of himself he had not shown before, a fighter determined to win by any means necessary.

Mosley could have played it safe and could have chosen to box Bohachuk, but instead stood his ground and stayed in the fire and survived. This is a career-defining victory, and he hopes it earns him an opportunity to challenge for the title.

Zuffa appears to have many notable signings in the works. When Dana was asked by media members about rumors of Shakur Stevenson and Devin Haney joining Zuffa, he didn’t definitively deny the rumors but stated there could be a possibility they could be future signees.

With the talent pool and signees increasing it will give fighters like
Mosley opportunities to challenge other divisional talent. As to his first Zuffa fight, Mosley was impressive.
