Game 161. Are there any other sports that play 162 games in a season? Can you imagine if MLB played just 17 games a season? It would be a whole different spot.
So, I had a night last night. Men’s Night Out, a charity thing for my wife’s church. I’m the least religious person you’ll ever meet, but this is for a very worthy charity. And there are drinks. I’ve gone with friends for the last few years. They put on a very good meal, and silent auction, door prizes and raffles.
All was good, until I had a cigar, along with my scotch. I have one cigar a year, and it has never bothered me before. But, last night, i had to sit for awhile. It is possible I’m getting old. I always thought that only happened to other people.
It has been that sort of year. Hurt my back playing squash, I’ve never hurt my back before. Tore ligaments in my foot playing tennis, never done that. Thought it was all healed, then played squash last week and found out otherwise.
Anyway, enough complaining.
