6 Hours of Portimao winning crew Razoon will enter its Porsche 992 GT3 R at this weekend’s 6 Hours of Barcelona as the Austrian team looks to make it two out of two in this winter’s Gedlich Racing enduros.

The non-points endurance event on Sunday will bring down the curtain on the latest Gedlich Racing winter tour of Iberia, which kicked off with the similar Portimao fixture last month.

Thomas Andersen and Simon Birch, who piloted the car to victory at the track on the Portuguese Algarve, will again do driving duty for Razoon.

18-year-old Birch comes into the event with some considerable form at the Spanish Grand Prix venue, having won there last weekend. That was at the final round of Gedlich’s GT Winter Series.

Birch and Andersen will not have to face the AF Corse Ferrari 296 duo of Cristiano Maciel and Rui Aguas this weekend, as the 2025 GT Winter Series champion crew is skipping the second of the bonus endurance weekends. The Razoon drivers will however face stiff competition from other quarters.

Among their chief rivals will be the Grupoprom by BDR Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, set to be shared by three drivers: Michael Dorrbecker, Amaury Bonduel and Alfredo Hernandez.

They’ll also face a second GT3 Mercedes with championship pedigree, namely the SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm entry. This GT Winter Series stalwart team finished second in the GT3 Winter Series, but much will depend on the exact composition of its final driver line-up. At this stage, partners for team regular Kenneth Heyer are not yet confirmed.

The Barcelona field will also be populated by numerous GT4 cars, including many regulars from the GT4 Winter Series, which like the GT Winter Series also concluded at the same track last weekend.

Cup classes for single-make GT machinery such as Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo II and Porsche 992 GT3 Cup cars will also add to the depth of the field.

The 6 Hours of Barcelona action will be streamed live this Sunday, on the Winter Series YouTube channel.
