MLB Pipeline’s top 100 prospect list has been updated as of yesterday, and the Texas Rangers have three — that’s right, three — players in the top 100.
Infielder Sebastian Walcott, who is back in game action and hitting (if not yet playing in the field) after internal brace surgery during spring training, is at #9 on the list. He appears to be none the worse for wear, slashing .328/.379/.607 in 66 plate appearances over 15 games at AA Frisco while handling DH duties. I would imagine he will move up to AAA in the next week or two, and if he can show that he can handle Pacific Coast...
