THE Premier League’s perennial bridesmaids will have another crack at finally walking down the aisle themselves.

Surely this is Arsenal’s time, in their 100th consecutive top-flight season?

A fourth year on the spin of finishing runners-up would likely push the fanbase over the edge… and pile the pressure on boss Mikel Arteta.

December 19, 2025 will mark six years since the Spaniard took over and the progress is there for all to see.

But is that enough?

Trophies maketh the manager and Arteta believes their time is coming.

They are not at a win-or-bust situation just yet but they are getting close to it.

A horror opening run of fixtures will not help —  they play Manchester United, Liverpool, Forest, Manchester City and Newcastle in the first six games.

But there is added quality and depth with six new faces — with the hope Arteta has finally found a No 9 in Viktor Gyokeres.

Even so, the proof is in the pudding and nothing tastes sweeter than silverware.
