63. There was a flashpoint between Rico Lewis and Jorgen Strand Larsen in the aftermath of that third Manchester City goal.

The Wolves striker was clearly unhappy with something the young City star had said, and spent an age pointing the finger while lecturing him like an angry parent.

Lewis’ petulant response? To repeatedly slap Strand Larsen’s hand away.

Jorgen Strand Larsen scored against City here last year and he was doing his bit to get them back into this one.

The Norwegian slid a shot into the side-netting soon after the re-start.

Then he saw another effort tipped over by James Trafford.

But his international team-mate Haaland showed him how it should be done on the hour.

He latched onto a super cut-back from Reijnders to score his second of the match.

Surely that’s game over now.

New season, same old Haaland.

61. Two for Haaland, three for Manchester City!

James Trafford starts the move with a delightful clip out wide, and then it’s over to Tijjani Reijnders to play a starring role once again.

A quick give-and-go later and then Dutchman pulls back for the arriving Haaland on the edge of the area, and he powers past Jose Sa with a first time thumper.

It’s ten Premier League goals against Wolves for the Norwegian now, it’s more than he’s managed against any other club.

Whisper it quietly, but Manchester City would well be back to (something approaching) their best.
