Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham will be re-evaluated in one week, according to NBA insider Chris Haynes. Cunningham has been out since March 17th with a collapsed lung.
With Cunningham needing to play in Saturday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers, Cunningham will not be eligible for NBA awards this season due to the 65-game rule. The 65-game rule, which was introduced during the 2023-24 season, requires players to play at least 65-games to be eligible for NBA awards such as MVP, DPOY and the All-NBA teams.
