O’Shaquie Foster believes the demand for a fight with Shakur Stevenson is only going to grow following his recent victory over Ray Ford.

Stevenson entered the ring after Foster’s win and exchanged words with the WBC super featherweight champion, creating one of the most talked-about moments of the night. Foster was later asked about the confrontation and what he made of Stevenson’s reaction.

“Oh, man. I was just ready. I was ready for whatever. I knew he was going to be salty, mad,” said Foster to Ring Magazine about Shakur.

“I beat his son, son. And he did all that trying to help him. Him and his people, they did all that trying to help him to beat me. And, you know, I just showed them where my greatness at.

“And I think all them emotions, he got it with the woo. I think it’s cuz he’s scared now. I think he know that the walls is closing in and that the fans and the world is going to be asking for that fight now. And now he gonna have to show the world. They gonna find out the real him.”

Foster later said he would have no issue facing Stevenson at either 135 or 140 pounds and dismissed the idea that special weight restrictions would be needed for the fight.

“Yeah. No, I mean we could do it 140, 135. It don’t matter. And, like I said, I don’t need no rehydration clause or none of that. We real men and we make weight and we fight at wherever we come in at,” said O’Shaquie.

Foster is coming off one of the biggest victories of his career after defeating Ford, while Stevenson remains one of boxing’s highest-profile champions. Although no fight has been announced, discussion around a potential matchup intensified after their post-fight confrontation, and Foster’s latest comments are likely to add further fuel to the speculation.
