Most champions spend years reminding everyone what they have achieved. Usyk sounds more interested in what comes next.
Despite holding every major heavyweight title after previously ruling the cruiserweight division, the Ukrainian insists his mindset has never changed.
Speaking to All Out Fighting, Usyk said: “For me I’m every time underdog.”
Legacy barely entered the conversation. Usyk made it clear his remaining time in the ring already has a name.
“I have last dance.”

While some have questioned whether the former WBC champion still belongs among the division’s leading names, Usyk refused to overlook him.
“Listen, this is a man who last 10 years it’s top top fighter, world champion. Yeah. It’s dangerous guy.”
Asked whether a victory over Wilder would strengthen his legacy, Usyk quickly shifted the focus away from accolades.
For him, the belts came because of the work, not the other way around.
“I’m not boxing for glory. For me, it’s just my life.”
The conversation then moved to Anthony Joshua, whom Usyk defeated twice in world title fights. Time has replaced rivalry with respect, and the Ukrainian spoke warmly about the former unified champion’s willingness to improve after setbacks.
When the discussion finally reached a possible Joshua-Fury showdown, Usyk offered an immediate prediction.
“AJ boom. Right hands. Knock them out. Six rounds because AJ my brother.”
