Connor McDavid is one of the most talented hockey players to ever lace up some skates.

And when the Edmonton Oilers take the ice again, he’ll have the chance to join an extremely exclusive NHL list.

So far, only two players in league history have scored 150 playoff points before reaching 100 playoff games.

According to OptaStat, Wayne Gretzky did it in 68 games, and Mario Lemieux did it in 86 games.

McDavid has 149 playoff points in his career through 94 games.

Even though he wouldn’t be breaking Gretzky or Lemieux’s pace, it’d still be a remarkable feat for McDavid.

The Oilers could use all that he’s got. It’s been a crazy series with Florida, tied 2-2 heading into Saturday night’s Game 5.

Three of the four games have gone to overtime, including both that Edmonton has won.

McDavid actually doesn’t have a goal yet in the series. It’s tough to see the Oilers getting over the line without McDavid finding the back of the net.

No time like the present to notch that goal, and in the process, join a list with The Great One.
