Odyssey adds stealth appeal with S2S Tri-Hot Black putter range

Odyssey adds stealth appeal with S2S Tri-Hot Black putter range

Odyssey has expanded its popular Square 2 Square (S2S) family with the launch of the new S2S Tri-Hot Black putter range, bringing the brand’s innovative zero-torque technology to golfers who prefer a more understated, premium-looking finish.

Building on the success of the original S2S Tri-Hot models, the new Black range combines the same performance-driven technology with a sleek all-black aesthetic designed to reduce glare and inspire confidence over the ball.

The collection will be available in both centre-shafted and heel-shafted configurations, while Odyssey’s popular Jailbird and #7 head shapes also receive the new treatment.

At the heart of the range is Odyssey’s advanced multi-material construction. By combining aluminium, steel and more than 140 grams of tungsten, the company has positioned over 80% of the putter’s weight below the topline. This creates a forward centre of gravity that helps deliver the ‘zero torque’ performance Odyssey has championed throughout the S2S family, promoting a more stable face through impact.

Golfers who favour a more traditional look at address may be particularly interested in the Single Bend (SB) models. These feature a heelward hosel position and zero shaft lean, creating a familiar appearance while retaining the stability benefits of the zero-torque design.

The putters also feature Odyssey’s Ai-ONE-inspired Ai-DUAL insert. Designed using artificial intelligence, the dual-layer urethane insert combines a soft outer layer with a firmer inner core to promote consistent ball speeds across the face while enhancing forward roll and feel.

Further improving roll performance is the new F.R.D. (Forward Roll Design) groove pattern. With deeper, more aggressive grooves and a 19-degree slope, the face is engineered to get the ball rolling sooner and more consistently.

A new Pistol Plus grip and the heavier, stiffer Black SL 120 shaft complete the package, while a Cruiser option is available in the #7 SB model for players who prefer a longer, heavier setup.

The Odyssey S2S Tri-Hot Black range arrives at retail on June 23 and will be available in the UK at £519. Models include the S2S #7 and Jailbird, alongside the S2S SB #7 and Jailbird.
