NICOLAS JACKSON could end up leaving Chelsea before the start of the new season, it’s been claimed.

Jackson’s long-term future at Stamford Bridge has been up in the air since Chelsea snapped up Liam Delap from relegated Ipswich last month.

Two red cards in the space of four games have also sparked suggestions Blues boss Enzo Maresca could deem him to be surplus to requirements.

And according to reports, there is a serious chance the Senegal international could be sold.

In a recent video on his YouTube channel, reporter Fabrizio Romano said: “Be attentive to Nico Jackson’s situation at Chelsea.

“Because I’m hearing there is a possibility between Jackson and Chelsea to part ways this summer.”

Jackson is said to have caught the eye of several clubs in Saudi Arabia and across Europe.

And Romano claims Italian giants AC Milan are “dreaming” of adding the 24-year-old to their squad.

Jackson turned in a worse haul in the 2024/25 season than he did in his debut campaign for the Blues.

He bagged 13 goals and racked up six assists in 37 appearances in all competitions, with one of those strikes coming in the Conference League final.

He fared much better in his maiden season with the west Londoners, scoring 17 goals and providing six assists in 44 appearances.

Jackson’s recent red mist and his inconsistency in front of goal could very well lead to a summer exit.

But according to Football Insider, Maresca wants to utilise his services in addition to those of Delap next season.

Jackson and his Blues team-mates will be back in action on Sunday, taking on Paris Saint-Germain in the final of the Club World Cup at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
