NBA Playoff Round One reactions, who’s cooked + WNBA preseason reactions

We have a jam-packed episode of The Dunker Spot coming your way!

First, Nekias Duncan and Steve Jones continue dissecting first-round playoff action! They share their biggest takeaways from this weekend’s action, then talk through which of the trailing teams (Pistons, Nuggets, Rockets, Sixers, Blazers) may be cooked.

From there, the guys shift to the WNBA to talk through the early returns of preseason action!

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever wowed with their tempo, while the early returns of the Liberty’s spacing tweaks were encouraging. We got the debuts of Ariel Atkins (Sparks), Rickea Jackson (Sky), Chennedy Carter (Aces) and others.

The rookies also made strong impressions! From lottery picks like Olivia Miles (Lynx), Lauren Betts (Mystics), and Gabriela Jaquez (Sky), to other first rounders like Flau’jae Johnson (Storm), Raven Johnson (Fever) and Cotie McMahon (Mystics); even later picks like Ta’Niya Latson (Sparks) and Rori Harmson (Mystics) had an impactful run.

Nekias and Steve talked through what they liked, what they’ll be monitoring, and what they’re excited about in the upcoming slate of games.
