FORMER Prem star Ben Brereton-Diaz suffered a disasterclass on international duty.
The striker lined up for Chile in their World Cup qualifier against Uruguay.
The match finished 0-0 but if the Derby County star had his shooting boots on it could have been a comfortable victory.
Brereton-Diaz, who played for Southampton in the Premier League last season, spurned three second-half chances that even the commentator could not believe.
First he missed a point-blank header from three yards out, before flashing a good chance wide.
But his ultimate humiliation came when he fell over in his attempt to strike the ball goalwards following a low cross put on his plate.
The commentator said: “My god, what a bad night for this man!”
Fans were equally dismayed by the chances he missed with some joking it is the Derby County effect.
One reacted saying: “The last one 🤣🤣🤣”
Another added: “Haha the Derby curse in full swing and he’s not even played yet.”
A third wrote: “Never mind Bezza. At least you got into positions.”
And another commented: “The Derby way 😍.”
