Mets infielder Brett Baty left Wednesday’s game against the Miami Marlins early in the second inning with an apparent leg injury.
Baty was running down to first base after hitting an RBI single and appeared to start limping before reaching the bag.
Trainers immediately came out to check on him as he tried to shake it off, but he was eventually removed from the game.
Baty’s single extended his hitting streak to six games as he’s been on fire in his last 15 games with a .375 batting average.
