MARIA SHARAPOVA enjoyed a beer-fuelled evening with David Beckham.
The sporting superstars were among the guests at a swanky Stella Artois event.
And the former tennis world No1 and 2004 Wimbledon champion shared a series of snaps from the night in New York.
The first was a brilliant selfie with Becks.
Sharapova, 38, opted for a bottle of the Belgian lager, while the ex-England captain, 50, opted for a full pint.
The moment was also captured by a photographer at the table.
She was also all smiles with American tennis ace Frances Tiafoe.
The Russian, who stunned in an elegant black dress, posted various other pictures, including a snap with Superman actress Rachel Brosnahan.
Sharapova, who did not post anything with current world No1 and US Open queen Aryna Sabalenka, captioned the post: “Thank you for hosting the perfect evening, @stellaartois!!
“It included eating a hamburger with knife and fork, a mentalist playing *tricks* on us, and special memories worth cheer(🍻)ing for.
“Oh, and @davidbeckham reminding me who won the Perfect Serve challenge back in London.”
And plenty of Sharapova’s 4.7million Instagram followers commented on the post, loving the surprise link-up between the tennis icon and the footballing great.
One said: “Two of my most favourite sports persons! Love it.”
Another wrote: “Sharapova and Beckham – deadly combo!!”
A third added: “My favourites in one frame.”
A fourth replied: “Class personified.”
And a final user wrote: “Two legends in one photo.”
Sharapova was recently inducted into tennis’ Hall of Fame with a classy gesture from former rival Serena Williams.
And she has extended her growing business portfolio since retiring by adding a line of furniture this summer – while also trying to sell her Los Angeles mansion for £18.5m.
