Having not had a proper pre-season due to the Club World Cup, PSG will play their first game since their final defeat to Chelsea when they take on Tottenham in Italy.

Donnarumma will not be involved, heightening speculation that he will leave this month.

The towering stopper has just one year remaining on his contract at Parc des Princes.

Luis Enrique’s side do not want to entertain the prospect of losing the valuable goalkeeper for nothing, opening the possibility of a cut-price transfer this month.

Man Utd are claimed to be keen, with the Mirror reporting that Donnarumma is available for £26million.

PSG have signed Lucas Chevalier from Lille for an initial £34.5m plus a potential further £13m in add-ons.

Enrique has decided to make the 23-year-old his new No1 going into the 2025-26 season.

PSG still have Arnau Tenas on their books, and the former Barcelona stopper could back up Chevalier on Wednesday night.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Donnarumma will “100 per cent” leave Parc des Princes – either before the end of this month or next summer.

Romano adds that the Premier League is most likely to be Donnarumma’s landing spot – and that the star’s relationship with PSG is “completely broken”.

On Saturday, Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim was asked about signing Donnarumma while signing autographs for a fan.

When the supporter asked “Are we getting Donnarumma?” – Amorim remained coy as he laughed cheekily.
