The NFL Draft is fast approaching, and there are countless possibilities for how things might unfold on draft night. The only situation that seems certain is where Cam Ward will end up — with the Tennessee Titans, as the first overall pick.
The biggest buzz surrounds Shedeur Sanders and the endless possibilities of which franchise he could land with. Adam Schefter offered a broad projection of Sanders’ potential landing spots.
“It certainly feels like his range … is three to 21, and I don’t like the chances of him going nine,” Schefter said.
The Chicago Bears are a team to watch closely on draft night, as they appear to be targeting one of two positions in the first round: running back or tight end. While there’s been some speculation about the Bears selecting Penn State’s Tyler Warren, it seems they may be leaning in a different direction.
The Las Vegas Raiders have publicly stated their intention to draft the best available running back if one is still on the board — specifically, Ashton Jeanty, provided the Jacksonville Jaguars don’t select him first.
In a surprising potential twist, the Raiders might consider trading with the Bears to secure Jeanty if he’s still available. Running back is their most pressing need, and making a move for Jeanty would suggest that the Bears are positioning themselves to win now.

“The Bears did a good job bolstering the trenches in free agency. They still need depth at offensive tackle and on the defensive line, but one could argue their biggest remaining need is at running back,” Jacob Camenker wrote.
The Bears hold the 10th pick, while the Raiders have the 6th. If Chicago is truly set on landing Jeanty, they may be willing to make the leap. Jeanty was a dominant force on the field last season, and expectations are high for his performance in the NFL.
