KOBBIE Mainoo has undergone a massive body transformation as he tries to climb back up the Old Trafford pecking order.

Mainoo, 20, has barely featured for United so far this season and was not selected by England boss Thomas Tuchel for the World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia.

And the midfielder is taking advantage of the international break to improve his fitness and force his way into Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim’s plans.

The Red Devils’ academy graduate was snapped doing some sprint training as he practised with personal coach Jonas Dodoo for over an hour on Friday in Cheshire.

And it looks like all the hard work is paying off as he appears to have bulked up.

United fans appear impressed with Mainoo’s hard work during the break and went wild over a stunning skills video he posted.

The central midfielder appears completely focused on the Manchester giants following a failed attempt to move on loan in the late stages of the summer transfer window.

Mainoo had hoped to seal a move to Napoli in a switch that would have reunited him with Scott McTominay and Rasmus Hojlund.

The promising youngster, who has already earned ten caps for England, is desperate to impress ahead of the World Cup.

The Man Utd ace believed a move to Naples would have improved his chances of boosting his game time in order to impress Tuchel.

The deal did not go through as United wanted to keep hold of him.

Mainoo will now have to fight for his spot at Old Trafford if he is to earn a spot on the plane to the US, Mexico and Canada next summer.

He was an unused substitute in the loss to Arsenal and the draw at Fulham.

Mainoo has so far only played 45 minutes in the Premier League, which all came in the 3-2 win over Burnley at Old Trafford.

Nevertheless, he did play the full 90 minutes against Grimsby in the  embarrassing Carabao Cup defeat.
