The New York Jets could look to trade running back Breece Hall in the future.

The 24-year-old is entering the final year of his deal in 2025, and the Jets could look to start fresh at running back with young and cheaper options, such as Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis.

ESPN’s Rich Cimini stated in a recent article that Hall could be a trade candidate at the deadline if New York isn’t in the playoff race.

“The Jets want to be a run-oriented offense, so it wouldn’t have made sense to trade their most accomplished back. It could be a different story around the mid-season trading deadline. If they fall out of contention, Hall will be a prime candidate to be dealt. We already know how much [Aaron] Glenn likes Allen and Davis,” Cimini wrote.

With a Hall trade being a realistic possibility in the next few months, Last Word on Sports’ Anthony Palacios believes the star running back could land with Jim Harbaugh and the Los Angeles Chargers.

Los Angeles trading for Hall wouldn’t make much sense, as they signed Najee Harris in free agency and drafted Omarion Hampton in Round 1 this offseason.

However, a running back trio of Harris, Hampton, and Hall would be electric, as they would provide the perfect blend of speed and power.

Obviously, Hall landing with the Chargers is very unlikely. But he could be traded to a contender at some point in the future if the Jets underwhelm to start the 2025 season.
