INTER MILAN are monitoring Andre Onana’s situation at Manchester United, as speculation grows over the goalkeeper’s future.

Onana didn’t feature in the squad for yesterday’s home defeat against Arsenal.

After the game Ruben Amorim insisted the player wasn’t dropped but that had been omitted due to his injury issues that prevented him from being a part of United pre-season games.

But that hasn’t stopped speculation about his future, which started at the end of the last campaign due to Onana’s indifferent form.

Now SunSport can reveal his former club Inter are potentially interested in re-signing a player who was a massive success in Italy.

Onana also remains a cult-hero among Inter supporters and the club believe he would be open-minded to a move.

According to reports in Italy, Inter are firmly in the market for a new number one.

Inter and Royal Antwerp are both reportedly in talks for goalkeeper Senne Lammens.

According to Belgian outlet Het Laatste Nieuws, via FCInterNews, Antwerp are seeking a fee of around £17.3m.

Inter Milan currently have three goalkeepers. Apart from third-choice keeper Raffaele Di Gennaro, there are also Yann Sommer and Josep Martinez.

Sommer has been the first-choice keeper at Inter for a couple of seasons. However, Martinez did start several matches last season in Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

Manchester United meanwhile are also thought to be looking to the past to solve their current goalkeeping woes, which were cruelly exposed against Arsenal.

Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville both make transfer plea to Man Utd after Arsenal clash

United are believed to be tracking David De Gea, who remains a firm favourite at Old Trafford.

Manchester United supporters vented their fury at goalkeeper Altay Bayindir after his gaffe allowed Arsenal to take an early lead at Old Trafford.

Bayindir was handed a start in United’s Premier League curtain raiser on Sunday, but he found himself picking the ball out of his net in just the 13th minute after making a horror mistake.

A corner delivered by Declan Rice from the right dropped underneath Bayindir’s crossbar, and his weak attempt to fist clear instead saw the ball drop behind him, allowing the unmarked Riccardo Calafiori to tap into the empty net.
