The San Francisco Giants play a make-up game against the Atlanta Braves this afternoon from Truist Park.
Taking the mound for the Giants will be right-hander Anthony Molina, who enters today’s game with a 2.89 ERA, 4.48 FIP, with three strikeouts to two walks in nine and a third innings pitched between the Giants and Braves this season. This will be his first start and second appearance for the Giants this year. His last appearance was in the Giants’ 3-1 win over the Cincinnati Reds last Tuesday, in which he allowed just one hit and a walk with one strikeout in four and a third innings of relief.
He’ll be facing off against Braves right-hander Bryce Elder, who enters today’s game with a 3.95 ERA, 4.45 FIP, with 118 strikeouts to 46 walks in 143.2 innings pitched. His last start was in the Braves’ 4-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers last Tuesday, in which he allowed three runs on eight hits with five strikeouts in six innings.
