JOSE MOURINHO was given his favourite biscuits by a legendary member of Chelsea staff following his return to the club.
His Benfica side suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to the Blues in the Champions League.
Ahead of kick-off Mourinho declared he was still Chelsea’s Special One, and his reception at the club seemed to prove that true.
One long-serving staffer Thresa Conneely gave him a huge hug on his return to the ground.
While another Brian Pullman, who worked for Chelsea for 55 years before retiring last year, served up his favourite biscuits.
Pullman, who was a familiar face in the media room, shared a warm embrace with Mourinho and placed some custard creams on the desk in front of him.
It is a tradition that dates back to Mourinho’s first stint as Chelsea boss between 2004 and 2006.
The Portuguese gobbled one up ahead of speaking to the press – just as he did in 2010 after his Inter Milan side beat Chelsea in the Champions League.
Fans loved the special moment with one saying: “That’s so cute.”
Another added: “That’s amazing, respect and class is permanent.”
