Guido Vianello Added To Thin Itauma-Hrgovic PPV

The 14-3-1 contender is coming off a fifth-round knockout of Alexis Barriere last October. His recent opposition includes Richard Torrez Jr., Arslanbek Makhmudov and Efe Ajagba.

An eighth-round stoppage of Makhmudov in August 2024 is the best result on his record, coming four months after a close split decision loss to Ajagba. Torrez later defeated him by unanimous decision last April.

That experience gives the PPV another recognizable heavyweight on a card built around an intriguing but still unproven 21-year-old headliner.

Itauma is taking a major step up against 34-year-old Hrgovic for the vacant IBF heavyweight title. Hrgovic remains one of the division’s established contenders, but the punishment he has absorbed in recent fights has begun to show. Itauma is being given the opportunity to capitalize against a warhorse who may no longer be at his best.

Sam Noakes against 38-year-old former WBO lightweight champion Denys Berinchyk is the other recognizable supporting fight. Cruiserweight prospect Aloys Youmbi faces 40-year-old Mike Perez, while Constantin Ursu meets Ben Vaughan for the British and Commonwealth welterweight titles.

Beyond those bouts, the card relies largely on prospects and domestic-level fighters.

David Adeleye had previously been linked with Vianello before leaving Queensberry Promotions. With Vianello now confirmed for August 29, the quality of the opponent Queensberry finds for him becomes important on a PPV card that needs another meaningful fight.
