Ruben Amorim has suffered his most embarassing defeat as Man Utd manager and that takes some doing.

League Two Grimsby Town have booked their place in the third round with a victory against the Red Devils.

This night will live on in the club’s history, dumping the Premier League out of the tournament, in front of their own fans.

Mariners complete cup shock

Grimsby Town have done the unthinkable, they have dumped Premier League Man Utd out of the Carabao Cup.

After taking a two-nil lead, the Red Devils found a way back into the game and Harry Maguire broke the hosts’ hearts equalising late on to take the game to penalties.

The Mariners held their nerves and won 12-11 in the shootout when Byan Mbuemo missed his sudden-death effort.
