GIANLUIGI DONNARUMMA has played both of his Premier League matches with Manchester City wearing a cheap replica shirt.

Donnarumma, 26, joined City following a £26million deal with Paris Saint-Germain where he fell out of favour despite winning the treble last season.

The goalkeeper made his debut two weeks ago against rivals Manchester United at the Etihad.

The Italy international enjoyed a successful bow as he kept a clean sheet and helped Man City win the Manchester derby with a score of 3-0 in the Premier League.

And according to Footy Headlines, Donnarumma played his first ever game with the Citizens wearing a replica shirt.

To be more specific, the Italian star’s jersey donned the usual Puma and City logos but his version was looser, unlike the authentic player issue shirt.

The ex-AC Milan star’s shirt didn’t have the lighter heat-pressed elements of the official match shirt, such as the one worn by team-mate James Trafford earlier in the season.

The same source claims last night’s Yashin award winner continued to wear the same replica shirt on Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal at the Emirates.

This is not the first time a Premier League keeper opts for his club’s replica shirt.

Manchester United loanee Andre Onana did the exact same thing two years ago.

Onana preferred the replica kit as the tight fit of the player issue shirt made him uncomfortable.

The Cameroon international left United earlier this month for Trabzonspor where he will spend the rest of the season on loan.

Donnarumma was linked with a move to Man Utd before Onana’s exit but City ended up snatching him and Ruben Amorim’s side signed Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp.
