Neville choked up after long-awaited Man Utd moment he’d been ‘asking for’

He owns real estate development company St Michaels UK PropCo2 with Betfred CEO Fred Done, as well as image rights and media company Tiger Sports Management.

Then there’s Buzz 16 Productions, the parent company of his Overlap podcasts.

In January 2026, Neville sold a majority stake in The Overlap to radio firm Global.

The England legend said: “The Overlap started as an idea that we thought people might like and we went for it.

“What has happened since then has been a great journey and it’s a team that I love working with and I’m incredibly proud to be a part of.

“We never thought of it as a business, we just wanted to create something that people loved and would come back to watch every week.”

Alongside David Beckham, Gary also in charge of Salford City FC, which was initially bought by five members of the ‘Class of 92‘, though the rest have since relinquished their shares.

 What is his net worth?

On top of his vast business empire, Neville has earned many millions from his other endeavours.

He built his vast wealth during his 19-year playing career, which he spent entirely at Manchester United.

Neville’s businesses are now worth about £200million, latest accounts show.

When did Gary Neville join Dragons’ Den?

Neville joined Dragons’ Den as guest Dragon for series 21.

His addition to the panel was announced in October 2023, with episodes featuring the former defender airing from January 2024.

At the time he said: “I am excited to join the Dragons, and to meet the entrepreneurs brave enough to face us in the Den.

“I hope my personal journey shows that you can take the experiences you’ve had in one part of your career and use them to do something entirely different and make it a success.

“Business is all about managing people and managing yourself and I’m looking forward to sharing my experience to help the entrepreneurs we’ll meet in the Den reach their potential.”

Show regular Deborah Meaden was quickly impressed, saying Neville has “a really good business brain”.

She explained: “You’d think he had been a Dragon his entire life… He was fantastic, I’m not kidding you, and he’s prepared to invest.”
