COLE PALMER furiously threw his gloves into the Chelsea dugout after being subbed off just 18 minutes in at Manchester United.

The travelling Blues were forced into early changes after goalkeeper Robert Sanchez was sent off on five minutes after taking out Bryan Mbeumo.

Bruno Fernades opened the lead on 14 minutes and shortly afterwards, Palmer was sacrificed for midfielder Andrey Santos.

Chelsea’s talisman looked baffled as his No10 was shown on the fourth officials board.

And his frustration was evident as Palmer chucked his gloves in the direction of the Blues’ dugout.

The England international looked in better spirits walking off the pitch as he embraced with United’s Kobbie Mainoo.

But there was little to smile about as Casemiro doubled United’s lead ten minutes before the break.

Chelsea fans’ misery added when Palmer returned to the bench with an ice pack on his groin.
