As noted by The Ring, that landscape has now changed dramatically. With Usyk stepping away from the sanctioning body titles, Warren suddenly finds himself overseeing one of the strongest collections of heavyweight talent in boxing at the exact moment multiple championships are up for grabs.
The shift is already underway. Agit Kabayel has been elevated to WBC heavyweight champion, while Daniel Dubois recently captured the WBO title by defeating Fabio Wardley. Tyson Fury remains one of the division’s biggest names despite his expected showdown with Anthony Joshua, and Moses Itauma could move even closer to a world title opportunity if he defeats Filip Hrgovic on August 29 in London.
Warren’s influence extends even deeper than his headline names. Wardley remains firmly in the title picture following his defeat to Dubois, while other Queensberry heavyweights continue to occupy prominent positions across the sanctioning body rankings.
For much of the past several years, Warren’s growing stable was forced to operate in Usyk’s shadow. The former undisputed champion defeated Joshua twice, Fury twice and Dubois, leaving little room for rival heavyweights to establish themselves as champions.
Now, with Usyk expected to have one final fight before retiring, the division has entered a new chapter. Multiple titles are available, fresh championship fights are being assembled, and Warren has contenders positioned across nearly every major route to a world title.
Whether all of those opportunities ultimately result in championships remains to be seen. What is already clear, however, is that the promotional balance of power at heavyweight has shifted considerably, and Frank Warren enters boxing’s post-Usyk era holding one of the strongest hands in the division.
