“I’d love him to fight Moses,” Warren said to Fight Hub TV when asked whether he would want Joshua to face Itauma.

The Queensberry promoter was then asked whether that matchup would create too much risk ahead of a Fury fight.

“Of course it will,” Warren said. “He’ll ruin it.”

Warren then explained exactly why he feels Joshua would avoid the fight.

“Because Moses will knock him out,” Warren said. “He’ll do to him what Tyson’s going to do to him.”

The comments add to the growing hype surrounding Itauma, who has quickly become one of the most talked-about heavyweight prospects in boxing.

Warren also spoke highly about Itauma later in the media session while discussing the heavyweight division.

“Moses is fighting on the 8th of August in London at the O2,” Warren said. “We’ll be announcing his opponent soon.”

Joshua is still expected to move toward a fight with Fury after years of failed negotiations between the two British heavyweights, although Warren appeared confident about how that matchup would end as well.

“He’ll do to him what Tyson’s going to do to him,” Warren repeated while discussing Itauma potentially facing Joshua.

Itauma has continued gaining attention because of his speed, power, and quick finishes, with some fans already viewing the 20-year-old as a future heavyweight champion despite his limited professional experience.
