Russell dominated qualifying at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, taking second place in Q1 before being fastest in the next two segments. He outpaced Max Verstappen by 0.182s for pole position.
McLaren qualified third and fifth with Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, which would be more than enough for the team to be crowned the world constructors’ champion if it clings to these positions in the race.
The other three Britons on the grid, Lewis Hamilton, Oliver Bearman and Alex Albon, will start from sixth, ninth and 12th respectively.

For the entire 2025 F1 season, Channel 4 will broadcast highlights of every qualifying and race of each event. The highlights will also be available on Channel 4’s on demand catch-up services.
