Jalen Ramsey is still waiting for the Dolphins to complete a trade so he can finally leave Miami — something he’s reportedly wanted since the offseason began. However, a major reason a deal hasn’t materialized is Miami’s unwillingness to take on any of his guaranteed money. That has kept several teams from pulling the trigger.
“But a lot of these teams are spooked by the money because of the $24 million guaranteed. The Rams are sort of waiting it out. It’s really interesting. I do think it’ll get done, I just don’t know what it’s going to look like financially. But I know he’s supposed to get traded in somewhat short order, so I think in the next week or two I could see it coming together,” ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler said.
Another name that could also be on the move is Tyreek Hill. For a team willing to take the chance, acquiring Hill might not be a bad idea — especially after his offseason body transformation.
“Hill is down 14 pounds (from 197 to 183) to a more comfortable weight as he once again sets his eyes on 2,000 yards receiving for the season,” CBS Sports’ Jordan Dajani wrote.
Hill seems focused on proving himself again this year and becoming the guy in Miami — but that role might come in a different uniform. CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin believes a trade could realistically happen.
“As of now, the All-Pro speedster appears set to return to the Miami Dolphins, despite his repeated hints of displeasure following the 2024 campaign. And yet, are we sure the Dolphins wouldn’t entertain offers if they came in for the 31-year-old deep threat, who’s had his fair share of off-field concerns even since exiting the Kansas City Chiefs? Miami would save close to $15 million by trading Hill after June 1. Potential landing spot: Chargers,” Benjamin wrote.

Bringing Hill to Los Angeles would give Justin Herbert a reliable star receiver — potentially forming a duo capable of challenging Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in the AFC West.
