Chisora: “I think Usyk loses this fight in Egypt,” said Chisora to talkSport Boxing.

Jordan: “Oh, shut up, Derek. You know you don’t.”

Chisora: “I’m telling you.”

Jordan: “You’re just saying it to get a reaction.”

Chisora: “The kickboxer is going to win it.”

Jordan continued challenging the prediction, arguing that Verhoeven’s power and size would not be enough against a fighter with Usyk’s movement and experience at elite level.

Jordan: “In what universe?”

Chisora: “Just hit the guy.”

Jordan: “Yeah, I know. But it’s not that easy, as you know.”

Chisora: “I’m not trying to get a rise. I’m telling you.”

Spencer Oliver also challenged Chisora’s stance, warning that Verhoeven faces an enormous task against a fighter many still consider the top heavyweight in boxing.

Oliver: “Verhoeven would probably be a bigger underdog than Dave Allen was against Hrgovic.”

“None of the fighters before have been able to land that punch on Alexander Usyk.”

Chisora later stood by the prediction and argued that people were underestimating Verhoeven because of his kickboxing background.

Chisora: “Everybody is easy for Usyk out there because of the way they train and the way they box.”

Jordan: “You weren’t easy for him, though, were you?”

Chisora: “I was not easy because I didn’t have a game plan right to maul him.”

Jordan: “But don’t you think Kabayel’s that guy as well, where he works on work rate?”

Chisora: “The kickboxer beats him, and we’re going to see a rematch.”

Chisora also bizarrely suggested the fight came together because of connections involving actor Jason Statham, arguing that boxing is often about “who you know” rather than rankings or title positions.

Jordan and Oliver treated the prediction like fantasy throughout the discussion, but Chisora never backed away from it once. The former heavyweight title challenger repeatedly insisted that Verhoeven’s size, power, and unpredictability would create far more problems for Usyk than most people expect heading into Saturday’s fight in Egypt.
