The Dallas Cowboys added Tyler Booker to their offense with the 12th overall pick. However, they may not be done adding to that side of the ball on Day 2 of the NFL Draft.
Booker fills a need for the Cowboys after Zack Martin retired this offseason. The Cowboys made sure to spend their first pick on a player to protect their franchise quarterback. However, K.D. Drummond of USA Today now predicts the Cowboys will make two trades on Day 2 of the draft to give their quarterback some weapons.

Drummond first predicted this trade with the New York Jets and had the Cowboys selecting Luther Burden II:
- Cowboys receive: 42nd overall pick
- Jets receive: 44th overall pick and 174th overall pick
“There was a time in the pre-draft process where Burden was being mocked to the Cowboys at No. 12, so grabbing the electrifying wideout here in the second round is certainly worth the fifth-round pick to move up,” wrote Drummond. “Could he have lasted two more picks? Potentially, but it wasn’t worth it to find out.”

The Cowboys desperately needed a receiver to pair with CeeDee Lamb, and Burden had over 2,200 yards and 21 touchdowns in three seasons of college football. However, receiver is not the only position the Cowboys need on offense. Drummond also predicted this trade with the New Orleans Saints to draft running back R.J. Harvey:
- Cowboys receive: 71st overall pick
- Saints receive: 76th overall pick and 149th overall pick
The Cowboys had one of the worst rushing attacks in the league last year. In the last two seasons at UCF, Harvey had 2993 rushing yards, 505 receiving yards and 42 total touchdowns. He led the Big 12 in rushing touchdowns last season.
